Sick Visits

These days it can be hard to book a veterinary appointment outside of an urgent care setting. We strive to accommodate sick appointments for both established and new clients. As a mobile practice, sick appointments we CAN see include:

The eyes: including redness, discharge, tearing, cloudiness, and swelling

The ears: including itchiness, discharge, pain, and redness

The skin: including hair loss, lesions, itchiness, and lumps

The upper respiratory tract: including sneezing, discharge from the nose, and congestion

The urinary tract: including inappropriate urination, blood in the urine, frequent urination, and painful urination

The gastrointestinal tract: including vomiting, changes in appetite, soft stools, diarrhea, and hard stools

As a mobile practice, we cannot accommodate all sick appointments, including those that require x-rays and other special imaging, heavy sedation or anesthesia, surgery, or hospitalization. Sick appointments we CANNOT see include:

Musculoskeletal: including limping, changes in gait, and difficulties standing or walking

Lower respiratory track: including coughing and wheezing

Cardiovascular: exacerbation of known heart disease or failure, exercise intolerance, collapse, and labored breathing

Neurologic: including seizures, changes in awareness, and ataxia (wobbliness)

Injuries or trauma

Euthanasia

Sick visits we cannot accommodate will be referred to a local general practice, urgent care, or emergency clinic as needed.
