At Tranquil Tabby Mobile Cat Vet, we understand that most cats are fearful of traditional in-clinic vet visits. Sharing space with dogs in the lobby and hearing barking from the exam room are certainly not most cats’ idea of a comforting veterinary experience! Even at cat clinics, feline patients are faced with stressors during the car ride in, smelling stress pheromones from other cats, and being taken to “the back" and away from their people for labs and procedures. We know that cat parents are very aware of their cat’s fear of going to the vet. In fact, the number one reason folks say they don’t bring their cats in for wellness or sick care is due to stress, their cat’s and their own! Tranquil Tabby aims to change this.

Acknowledging stress as a legitimate barrier to care is the first step in improving feline veterinary care. Many clinics are taking steps to help reduce causes of stress, but there are limitations to what improvements can be made in an in-clinic environment. At Tranquil Tabby, we eliminate the clinic-specific causes of stress by providing care to cats in the comfort and familiarity of their own home. We work to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress with extended appointment times and gentle handling with our Fear Free Certified team. We also provide greater convenience to our clients.
